Bike to Work Week

Bike to Work Week 2015: May 25 - May 31

Welcome Whistler Riders!

Bike to Work Week (BTWW) encourages people to commute to work via bicycle. Riding a bike to work instead of commuting via car promotes healthy lifestyles and prevention of health issues through regular exercise! The Sea to Sky Clean Air Society supports this mandate and is coordinating the event in Whistler, Pemberton and Squamish.

The RMOW BTWW team is a power house in Whistler so it was no surprise that they got together to put on a bike tuning session for their members.  Ted and James, avid bikers, led the group through the basics of bike care.
Ken Roggeman (RMOW) commented "The bike maintenance session was great. Ted and James helped the group understand some easy maintenance steps and tools to keep our bikes running safely and smoothly. Thought for the future is how local bike shops might coordinate similar sessions for the public during bike to work week."
