2019 Bike to School Week | 2019 Bike to Work Week

Prince George

About

The Prince George Cycling Club has been hosting Bike to Work Week for Prince George since 2010!! The Prince George Cycling Club continues to have successful events because of all the community support that we receive from our board members, volunteers, and of course local businesses and organizations that partner with us to bring this great event to Prince George!

How does Bike to Work Week/Go By Bike Week work? It's easy! First, urban cyclists or new bike communters register their workplace or join their workplace team. Then they bike to work, attend our Celebration Stations (fun-cycling-prizes-parties) and track their kilometers! Find other cyclists at your workplace, get support, and have fun! Bike to Work Week is a great way to motivate yourself to use alternative ways to get to and from work. It can also be a great way to enhance teamwork among your co-workers.

What about if I'm a student? School counts! Register or join your school's team today! We also have lots of retired, un-employed, self-employed, and home-based business people join in the fun! Kilometers riden while shopping for supplies or attending meetings can count towards your solo team's kilometers too! Get creative. This event is all about getting out there and biking!

What if I don't work? This is why we are moving to "Go By Bike Week". It is more inclusive for everyone. Stay at home parent, retired, other? We encourage you to ride when and where you can. Gooing to get some groceries or meeting friends for coffee? Wherever you may normally drive why not try riding your bike!
