Port Alberni 2019 Bike to Work Week:

Train the Trainer: Bike Safety 101

Saturday, 27 April 2019

  • Where: Echo Centre
  • Time: 13:00 to 16:00 (1 pm to 4 pm)
  • Ages: 18+
  • Cost: $45 + tax

Want a refresher on the rules of the road? Want to build your confidence biking in traffic? Or just practice with the bike lanes? We will bike as a pack and practice skills and drills as it pertains to cycling safety. One of the biggest barriers to expanding cycling education in the schools is having more adult cyclists to ride along. Hone your stills and ride with us.  Suitable for people of all skill levels. Recommended for parents, teachers, retired teachers, potential volunteers, and anyone who travels on two wheels. Bring a bike and helmet in good working order.

Bike Day

Monday 13 May 2019

Need a pro-D Day activity? Love to ride your bike? What a chance to bike around the city, learn some tricks and maybe figure out how to tune up your bike? This Pro-Day Cycle Alberni will lead a bike day for children ages 8 and up. Pack lunch and dress for the weather. Bikes available to borrow if need be.
