Friday recap

Thank you everyone who came out to join us for a cup of fresh coffee and some yummy Robert baked muffins this morning!

We also enjoyed a nice ride around the island after work, and quite a few riders joined us for all or a portion of the ride.  It was a lovely day.  Thank you everyone who came out and a special thank you to Robert for hosting us again this year on his lovely patio!

And please remember, Bike to Work Week is not finished yet!  We still have Saturday and Sunday to log kilometers!

Wednesday at The Village Market

We had a really nice day at the Folklife Plaza on Wednesday.  The Bike to Work Week Tent was setup with information on Bike to Work Week, Safe Cycling Tips and our participants were treated to refreshments provided by the Village Food Market!  A big thank you to the crew at Village Food Market who made this happen and also to Derek from the Sounder who helped us get the tent setup early in the day.

A great first day!

It was a great day to kick off Bike to Work Week this morning!  Many of you came by the Bike to Work Week tent we had set up in front of North Road Sports this morning. It was really nice to meet you all and get a chance to chat a little.   Keep logging those kilometers!  On our first day we totalled over one hundred kilometers! Way to go everyone.  :)

A very big thank you to Chris & Mike from North Road Sports for letting us use the space in front of the store this morning and for being wonderful supporters of our community and helping Garbiolans to stay active!

THANK YOU ALL

Great work and CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who participated in BTWW 2016.

We had a great turnout this year; another strong showing from our community.

Thank you for supporting the BTWW initiative. We have seen strong growth in the cycle community (and bike culture in general) from our community in the past number of years.

2017 marks the 10th anniversary of Campbell River's involvement in Bike to Work Week.

We are looking forward to a big party next year.

2016 T-Shirts...update

So THIS is what the 2016 Bike to Work and School (and the Post Office, and the Drug Store, and your kick-box lesson, and your pals' for coffee etc) shirt will look like. Of course it will say 'Mackenzie' on it, (so much more personal hey?!).  As well, it has the logos of some of our local supporters on the back.  Now that's some FAST advertising!

For more particulars on the shirts, read on....
