Best Biker Employer Award!

Dale Charles Physiotherapy and Sports Clinic Physiotherapy has a been a strong supporter of Bike to Work Week since the beginning by providing funding that enables the event to stay free for all. It is no surprise that I recieved this nomination for Mike Yates as "Best Boss" for Bike to Work Week from his staff. Maybe reading this letter from his staff will inspire other employers to support their staff to ride in the future.

Mid-Week Report and Thursday's BTWW Station

A big shout out to all cyclists who braved the rain on Tuesday and still enjoyed a pedal on our beautiful Island!  And an extra big thank you to the members of the Islands Trusts Cyclepaths who hosted the Bike to Work Refreshment Station in front of the Island's Trust Office yesterday.  I hope many of you had an opportunity to stop by to say hello.

Bike To Work & School Week Kick-Off 2017

The Nanaimo BTWW Kick-Off Event a great success

With Mayor Bill McKay in the lead the City of Nanaimo kicked off the 2017 Bike to Work and School Week. A great lunch and launch was held at Country Grocer and TD Bank location on Bowen Road, with many cyclists in attendance to start a 7 km community bike ride . Everybody enjoyed the excellent lunch & desserts provided by support from our local sponsors such as Country Grocer, Cobs Bread, Starbucks, TD Bank, SD68 and Island Health.

2016 T-Shirts...update

So THIS is what the 2016 Bike to Work and School (and the Post Office, and the Drug Store, and your kick-box lesson, and your pals' for coffee etc) shirt will look like. Of course it will say 'Mackenzie' on it, (so much more personal hey?!).  As well, it has the logos of some of our local supporters on the back.  Now that's some FAST advertising!

For more particulars on the shirts, read on....
