The Nanaimo BTWW Kick-Off Event a great success

With Mayor Bill McKay in the lead the City of Nanaimo kicked off the 2017 Bike to Work and School Week. A great lunch and launch was held at Country Grocer and TD Bank location on Bowen Road, with many cyclists in attendance to start a 7 km community bike ride . Everybody enjoyed the excellent lunch & desserts provided by support from our local sponsors such as Country Grocer, Cobs Bread, Starbucks, TD Bank, SD68 and Island Health.

After great speeches from the Mayor, our local MLA's Leonard Krog and Doug Routley and being encouraged by the attendance by city councillors Diane Brennan and Ian Thorpe, and school trustee Brennan, the group of 30 riders took to the streets of Nanaimo.

Register now and participate during the week of May 29 and June 4th.
