What a week!
The sun finally made an appearance this morning and there were many cyclists out on the streets, enjoying a dry commute. There were 5 different Celebration Stations around the valley today encouraging those who were going to work on two wheels, offering snacks and smiles…

There was coffee and cookies courtesy of the City of Courtenay Green Team at the Rotary Waterpark.

The CVRD were demonstrating the benefits of using the bike racks on the bus to beat the hills.

At Trail Bicycles there was delicious homemade muffins and coffee courtesy of Rewind Coffeebar and the last day of the week long events at the iHos Gallery and CFB Comox.
Fun on day four
101 teams and counting!
The weather was warmer and drier today and the bike commuters were out in force at CFB Comox.
More than 60 rode in to start their day and were cheered on by Wing Commander Colonel Jim Benninger and other diginitaries. Special thanks also to 97.3 The Eagle for being on location this morning.

Meanwhile at the iHos Gallery, 60 riders passed by on their way to work and students from the leadership programme at GP Vanier High School were rewarding those who decided to pedal in with a snack and a smile.
Tomorrow is all set to be a busy morning, there are 5 different Celebration Stations around the valley, be sure to stop in at one and grab a snack on the way to work;
Wet Wednesday
Half way through the week already, 97 teams are registered, can we make 100?
This morning was a little wet again, but that didn’t deter 47 commuters from pedaling past the Simon’s Cycles Celebration Station outside the iHos Gallery. Huge thanks to Cris from Shamrock Veterinary Clinic in Comox for ensuring everyone was feeling happy and caffeinated! It was also another busy day at CFB Comox with many folks heading in to start their day by bike.

In Cumberland things were a little quiet, but many thanks to the CRI for setting up a Celebration Station at Village Square and 97.3 The Eagle for joining us and cheering on the cyclists who passed by.

Damp day two
The weather was a little kinder this morning and more people than yesterday came by the Simon’s Cycles Celebration Station at the iHos Gallery, we spotted 52 folks on their way to work.
Thanks to The Eagle 97.3FM for being on location, cheering on the commuters.

Don’t forget to register your team, or yourself as a team of one and enter your results to be entered into the draw for the Kona Dew Commuter bike courtesy of Simon’s Cycles!

Have a great ride home from work and be sure to stop in at a Celebration Station in the morning, here’s where they’ll be;
Slightly soggy start
Bike to Work week 2013 got off to a damp start this morning, but there were still lots of brave commuters, we saw 45 out pedaling to work along Comox Road, undaunted by the rain. Simon’s Cycles were handing out granola bars, bananas, cheers and warm gloves, which were much appreciated today.

Thanks to The Eagle 97.3FM for joining us at Mountain City Cycle with the Comox Valley Cycling Task Force this morning, there was coffee, cookies and granola bars for those riding by.

You can enter your results each day, or wait until the end of the week, but don’t forget, everyone who enters their results will be entered into the draw for a bike! Hopefully things will dry and warm up as the week progresses…..
